[Remote] Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations, DoorDash for Business (Self Serve Meal Manager)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DoorDash is hiring a Senior Associate on its DoorDash for Business Strategy & Operations team to grow and operate Self-Serve Meal Manager, a self-serve product for recurring team meals. The role focuses on improving the customer funnel, using data and experiments to increase acquisition, activation, and retention, resolving customer and order issues, and partnering with product, engineering, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire: Bring new teams in at the top of the funnel, both on the DoorDash platform (merchandising, in-app placements, lifecycle messaging) and off platform (paid, email, and organic channels)
  • Activate: Turn sign-ups into first orders through strong onboarding, and find and fix where customers drop off
  • Retain: Keep teams ordering through a reliable, high-quality product experience, and catch the issues that cause churn before customers leave
  • Own the funnel: Analyze the self-serve funnel end to end, from visitor to sign-up to activation to repeat ordering. Find where customers drop off and run experiments on acquisition channels, onboarding, selection, and promotions to lift conversion and retention
  • Go deep on the data: Write SQL daily to size problems, segment customers, measure lift, and tell a real result from noise. Build the dashboards and automated checks that let a small team support a growing customer base
  • Work directly with customers: Email customers, resolve issues, and run proactive outreach to teams that are stuck, at risk, or churned. Hear first-hand why people stay and why they leave
  • Turn issues into patterns: Translate individual customer problems into trends, then flag them to product and engineering with a clear call on severity: urgent and big, or real but minor, backed by the metric impact
  • Improve reliability: Root cause order defects such as late deliveries, point of sale issues, and failed drop-offs. Work with merchants, Dashers, and support partners on fixes and track the impact on quality metrics
  • Use AI to scale: Build AI-assisted workflows that flag at-risk customers, orders, and merchants, and replace slow manual analysis and one-off fixes with repeatable processes the team can maintain
  • Influence the roadmap: Bring customer, merchant, and order data to product, engineering, and operations partners as clear recommendations

  • You have run growth or conversion experiments and can tell a real lift from noise
  • You are hungry to learn and quick to pick up new domains, tools, and skills
  • You are versatile, happy to switch between analysis, customer conversations, and process building, and you want a role you can grow into
  • You are comfortable in customer-facing work: writing clear emails, handling frustrated customers, and resolving issues with empathy and ownership
  • You have a product mindset
  • You can spot patterns across customer issues and judge what is urgent and what is not, and you can make that case to product partners
  • You are extremely comfortable using AI (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) in your daily work to automate workflows, analyze data, and make faster, better decisions
  • You own problems end to end, from diagnosis to testing to rollout, and are comfortable building processes in ambiguous, early-stage environments
