Knowledge Librarian for Growing Research Library in Notion
Knowledge Librarian for a Growing Research Library in Notion
**Summary**
Our foundation is building research-based tools and content, and we produce documents quickly: research summaries, product specs, decision records, and drafts of drafts. We want this growing library to stay findable, current, and trustworthy. We're looking for someone who gets real satisfaction from putting each document in its right place, naming it consistently, and keeping the record straight.
**The work**
- Work with AI systems to file every document correctly: one home, consistent titles, version numbers and dates, and a clear status (draft, current, superseded)
- Maintain our Conversation Decision Logs (CDLs), short numbered records of what we decided mostly created by AI, when, and why, plus the index that keeps them in order
- Keep changelogs so anyone can see what changed between versions and why
- Own the catalog: tags, a controlled vocabulary, cross-links, and a one-page guide to how the library is organized
- Run regular tidy-ups to catch duplicates, retire outdated drafts, fix broken links, and flag gaps
- Use AI to speed up summarizing, tagging, and filing, and check its work
**Must have**
- Background in library science, archives, records management, or knowledge management, or the instincts of someone who should have one
- Hands-on Notion experience preferred (databases, properties, relations, templates)
- Naming conventions, version control, and controlled vocabularies feel satisfying to you, not like chores
- Clear, plain writing; you can explain the system to a busy colleague in two sentences
- Reliable and self-directed with a steady, recurring workload
**Nice to have**
- Experience with metadata schemes or taxonomies (Dublin Core, SKOS, or similar)
- Comfort working alongside researchers and product people in an early-stage setting
- Interest in education, health, or well-being
