[Hiring] Senior Manager, Insights, Amazon Focus @Tinuiti

Role Description

As an Insights Lead Analyst, Commerce, you will be Tinuiti’s hands-on analytics specialist for Amazon and Commerce data. You will use Amazon Marketing Cloud, Amazon Advertising, Amazon retail data, and related Commerce platforms to develop advanced analyses, custom reporting, testing approaches, and actionable insights that help Client Leads and Commerce teams make stronger decisions.

Amazon is the core platform for this role. You will build deep expertise across Amazon Marketing Cloud, Amazon Advertising, and Amazon retail data, while applying your analytical skills to other retail-media platforms—including Walmart Connect and Scintilla—as client and business needs require.

You will work closely with Client Leads, Commerce Media, Commerce Operations, and other internal delivery teams through high-quality analysis, client-ready narratives, and specialized platform expertise. You will participate in client discussions when technical or analytical depth is needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client‑Centric:
    • Partner with Client Leads and Commerce Leads to understand client objectives, performance questions, strategic moments, and analytical priorities.
    • Support Client and Commerce Leads with accurate data narratives, technical explanations, reporting, and client-ready recommendations.
    • Partner with Commerce Media and Commerce Operations teams to ensure insights inform planning, optimization, investment, and retail decisions.
    • Join client discussions, business reviews, and technical readouts when specialized Commerce expertise is needed.
    • Identify recurring analytical needs, risks, and growth opportunities that should be addressed through stronger analysis, testing, reporting, or measurement.
  • Product‑Led:
    • Use Amazon Marketing Cloud, Amazon Advertising, Vendor Central, BI tools, dashboards, and relevant Commerce data environments to support insight generation and decision-making.
    • Build AMC queries and analyses across audiences, campaign performance, new-to-brand outcomes, path-to-purchase behavior, and other custom client questions.
    • Maintain working expertise in Amazon platform capabilities, retail data, and relevant Commerce environments such as Walmart Connect and Scintilla.
    • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, dashboarding, documentation, automation, and Commerce insight-delivery workflows.
    • Use approved AI and automation tools thoughtfully to improve data interrogation, pattern detection, and efficiency while validating outputs rigorously.
  • Data & Measurement‑Driven:
    • Query, validate, join, and interpret Amazon advertising and retail data across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, Amazon DSP, and other relevant Commerce data sources.
    • Develop advanced and custom reporting, dashboards, visualizations, and performance narratives across key Commerce outcomes, including new-to-brand, share of voice, market share, total sales, and ASIN/SKU performance.
    • Translate Commerce data into clear findings and recommendations: what happened, why it matters, and what should happen next.
    • Design and analyze platform-specific tests, forecasts, scenarios, segmentation, and campaign evaluations that inform media, audience, product, and retail decisions.
    • Build practical, account-specific analytical solutions—including lightweight models, scripts, and prototypes in SQL, Python, R, or approved tools—when they answer a defined Commerce business question.
    • Maintain strong documentation and quality assurance across data sources, logic, methodologies, reporting, and analysis.
  • The Tinuiti Way:
    • Maintain a holistic understanding of how Commerce media, marketplace dynamics, retail data, product performance, and client business goals fit together.
    • Keep analytical work focused on business questions, measurement judgment, and decision support—not reporting or technical complexity for its own sake.
    • Partner with Econometrics, Data Science, Client Reporting, and technical teams when work requires formal model development, enterprise-scale reporting, productionization, or data-infrastructure changes.
    • Contribute reusable Commerce query logic, reporting approaches, analytical learnings, and platform best practices that strengthen the broader Insights and Commerce practices.
    • Stay current on Amazon platform changes, Commerce measurement practices, analytics tools, AI, and retail-media trends.
  • Owner Mindset:
    • Take accountability for the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness of Commerce analyses, reporting, dashboards, and recommendations.
    • Prioritize effectively across Client Leads, Commerce teams, clients, and analytical workstreams.
    • Ask better questions, challenge assumptions, and turn broad requests into practical analytical approaches.
    • Surface data-quality issues, methodology limitations, missing inputs, and performance risks early, with a clear recommendation for next steps.
    • Improve workflows, documentation, automation, and analytical rigor over time.

Qualifications

  • 7-9 years of experience in Commerce analytics, retail media, e-commerce analytics, marketing analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Marketing Cloud, including SQL querying, audience analysis, campaign analysis, and custom analytical approaches.
  • Strong experience with Amazon Advertising and Amazon retail data, including Sponsored Ads, Amazon DSP, Vendor Central, and related Commerce performance metrics.
  • Strong SQL proficiency and experience with BI/visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of Commerce measurement, including new-to-brand, share of voice, market share, product-level performance, total sales, forecasting, testing, and incrementality concepts.
  • Practical Python and/or R experience is preferred, particularly for custom analysis, forecasting, exploratory work, or lightweight modeling.
  • Strong data storytelling, documentation, quality-control, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience supporting Client Leads and Commerce account teams; direct client-facing experience is helpful but not the primary requirement.
  • Comfort using AI tools responsibly to improve analytical efficiency and insight generation.
