Manager, Reporting and Financial Data Governance
Job Description:
- Own financial master data and reporting structures, including chart of accounts, entities, cost centers, projects and reporting hierarchies
- Define and maintain common financial data definitions and reporting attributes
- Review and approve changes to financial master data and reporting structures
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, financial reporting, IT and Microsoft stakeholders on reporting requirements, organizational changes and system initiatives
- Investigate and resolve data, hierarchy, mapping and reporting issues
- Support corporate reporting processes, including Transmit, through maintenance and validation of reporting structures, mappings and underlying financial data
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting, reporting requirements, company policies and internal controls
- Drive process improvement within assigned areas of responsibility
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related field
- 8+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, finance systems, or related finance functions
- Experience supporting accounting close, financial reporting, management reporting or finance transformation initiatives
- Experience working with financial master data, reporting structures and hierarchies, or finance systems
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, financial data structures, reporting hierarchies, and how financial data is used across reporting, planning and business processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to investigate and resolve complex data and reporting issues
- Ability to balance business requirements with standardization, consistency and control objectives
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
- CPA preferred but not required
- Experience with Oracle, PowerBI, SmartView, or similar tools is a plus
