Whatnot Livestream Host — Luxury Beauty & Cosmetics - Contract to Hire

Position: Part-time contract

Location: Local or remote within the U.S.

Schedule: Flexible; primarily scheduled livestreams

Compensation: Paid trial, followed by base pay plus performance-based commission

About the Opportunity

I’m building a featured selling presence on Whatnot and looking for an engaging, beauty-savvy livestream host to represent my inventory on camera.

The merchandise includes prestige and luxury beauty products from brands such as Jones Road, MERIT Beauty, Ole Henriksen, Charlotte Tilbury, Tom Ford, and others. The goal is to create polished, energetic live shows that build buyer trust, generate excitement, and move inventory while protecting the value and presentation of the products.

This could be a great fit for a makeup artist, beauty-content creator, experienced livestream seller, retail beauty specialist, or naturally persuasive on-camera personality.

What You’ll Do

Host live beauty-shopping shows on Whatnot

Present products clearly, accurately, and enthusiastically

Explain product benefits, shades, finishes, and suggested uses

Engage with viewers and answer questions in real time

Keep the show moving while encouraging bids and purchases

Help plan themed shows, bundles, giveaways, and promotional ideas

Familiarize yourself with the inventory before each stream

Assist with basic show preparation and product organization

Review results and help improve future shows based on what sells

Represent the business with warmth, credibility, and professionalism

Depending on location and experience, the role may also include helping create listings, photographing products, moderating shows, or assisting with post-show order organization.

Who I’m Looking For

The ideal person is:

Comfortable, polished, and energetic on camera

Knowledgeable about prestige beauty, skincare, and cosmetics

Able to sell persuasively without sounding overly scripted or aggressive

Quick-thinking and comfortable interacting with a live audience

Reliable, organized, and able to prepare before each show

Familiar with Whatnot, TikTok Live, Instagram Live, QVC-style selling, livestream commerce, beauty retail, or a similar format

Respectful of premium merchandise and careful with inventory

Interested in building an ongoing role as the Whatnot presence grows

Previous Whatnot experience is strongly preferred, but an excellent beauty salesperson or content creator who can learn the platform quickly is welcome to apply.

Local and Remote Options

Local candidates may host from my location or another agreed-upon setup.

Remote candidates must have:

A clean, attractive, and well-lit streaming space

Reliable high-speed internet

A high-quality phone or streaming setup

A secure location for storing merchandise

Strong references and a dependable track record

For a remote arrangement, products would be provided in organized batches for scheduled shows.

Compensation

This will begin with a paid trial stream. The ongoing compensation structure may include:

A guaranteed hourly or per-show base

Commission tied to completed sales

Performance bonuses for strong sell-through or revenue

Additional pay for listing, content creation, or fulfillment support, if included

Exact terms will depend on experience, responsibilities, and whether the position is local or remote.
