We are looking for a professional and adaptable Site Protection Officer (SPO) to provide exceptional security cover across Marks & Spencer Distribution Centres in Avonmouth, Bristol.

Please read carefully - Shift Pattern is fixed: Saturday, Sunday DAYS (07:00-19:00), Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday NIGHT (19:00-07:00)As an STL, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure working environment for staff, visitors, and contractors, protecting company assets, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality service across all DCs. You will be required to work flexibly across days, nights, and weekends, including short-notice cover when required.

Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead, maintain and provide professional security cover across multiple M&S Distribution Centres within Bristol.

Deliver outstanding customer service in line with Mitie and M&S key value.

Maintain professional standards of appearance, conduct, and incident reporting.

Monitor access control systems, CCTV, and vehicle movements in accordance with site procedures.

Conduct regular internal and external patrols to ensure site safety and security.

Support the prevention and investigation of theft, stock loss, and unauthorised access.

Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following site protocols.

Hold regular meetings to engage, motivate, and manage your team, developing and communicating the strategy. Communicate and follow Management lead.

Be accountable for performance of the site.

To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.

Work flexibly to meet operational requirements, including short-notice assignments.

Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and company security policies.

Person Specification Literate and numerate is required with strong attention to detail and IT skills. Professional appearance and high personal standards. Previous team leadership is required. Adaptable, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Calm under pressure with a positive, "can-do" attitude. Must hold a valid front-line SIA Licence. Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
