Job Description:
Here’s more detail on the need. The dates could shift slightly.

In-vehicle UX designer: Pleos (Android Automotive) owner app

We’re building an owner app for Hyundai vehicles running Pleos Connect, Hyundai’s Android Automotive–based infotainment system. Our team handles development in-house. We need an experienced in-vehicle UX designer to design the in-car experience for a first release on Jan 10, 2027.

What the app does: an interactive Quick Reference Guide with a 360° exterior spin of up to 8 views and a 3D interior, both with hotspots, plus how-to videos, curated playlists, and navigation and search. The same experience also runs on phones and dealer screens.

What we need:
• UX and UI design for the head unit that follows the Pleos Connect design guide and Android Automotive driver-distraction rules
• Clear driving and parked states, including how video, hotspots and the 3D views behave when the car moves
• Layouts that work full screen and in Pleos split-screen panes.
• Hotspot and 3D interaction design suited to a large touchscreen
• A small component set and specs our developers can build from, with adaptations for mobile and dealer screens
• Design support during build and on-vehicle testing

Experience we’re looking for: shipped work on Android Automotive or an OEM infotainment system, not only Android Auto or CarPlay. Familiarity with distraction guidelines and app-store review. Pleos experience is a strong plus.
