[Remote] Enterprise Solutions Architect, Sr Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Synopsys is hiring an Enterprise Solutions Architect to lead architecture and modernization of SAP billing, revenue, and financial platforms. The role designs and governs SAP and non-SAP integrations, supports revenue recognition, and partners with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and technical teams to deliver scalable business capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead solution architecture and design for billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, payments, collections, refunds, customer statements, cash application, treasury management and financial reconciliation processes
  • Define and govern integrations between SAP BRIM, SAP S/4HANA, Payment processors, Banking and Treasury systems, Customer portals, and Enterprise data platforms
  • Develop solution roadmaps, functional specifications, configuration documentation, test strategies, deployment plans, and architectural standards
  • Develop architecture roadmaps, technical blueprints, integration specifications, and implementation standards while managing technical and process architects
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Billing Operations, Product Management, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable and automated business capabilities
  • Lead technical governance, architecture reviews, solution assessments, and vendor evaluations while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
  • Design and implement revenue recognition processes aligned with IFRS 15 and ASC 606 accounting standards
  • Lead migration initiatives from legacy and Sidecar environments into SAP S/4HANA Embedded RAR

Skills

  • You have spent years in the SAP ERP world, building systems that process billions in revenue, not just configurations that look good in a demo
  • You understand that billing is never just billing. It is contracts, pricing, usage data, integrations that break at 2am, and finance teams who need their numbers to reconcile perfectly every single time
  • You have sat in enough design sessions to know when a requirement sounds simple but will create technical debt six months down the line, and you speak up before it gets built
  • You are equally comfortable whiteboarding a solution architecture with a VP of Finance and debugging a FI-CA posting issue in a sandbox
  • You do not need a perfect spec to get started. You ask the right questions, map the dependencies, and build something that scales
  • When a business user says, 'we need flexible billing,' you know how to translate that into solution design, identify integration touchpoints, and define a test plan that covers edge cases
  • You are a technology leader that provides strategic and technical leadership across SAP S/4HANA, and enterprise financial platforms supporting billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, payments, collections, cash application, cash accounting, and treasury
  • You like to partner with business and IT stakeholders to drive modernization, process automation, architectural governance, and digital transformation initiatives
  • The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Order to Cash, Revenue Accounting and Financial Accounting with a conceptual understanding of BRIM stack, along with extensive experience defining and designing complex integrations and business processes across SAP and non-SAP ecosystems
  • 12+ years of proven experience in business process transformation with SAP ERP including at least two full lifecycle implementations
  • 5+ years of SAP solution architecture experience
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP FI components including AR, FI-CA, GL, Credit Management, FSCM, and Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR)
  • Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale integrations across SAP and non-SAP platforms
  • Deep understanding of customer billing, accounts receivable, payment processing, collections, and financial operations
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent
  • You can walk into a room with a CFO and a technical architect, hear two different versions of the same requirement, and synthesize a solution that satisfies both without creating downstream chaos
  • When a production billing run fails at month-end, you do not panic. You methodically trace the issue from the invoice document back through FI-CA postings, charging data, and integration logs until you find the root cause
  • You push back when a business request will create unmaintainable customization, and you come prepared with an alternative approach that meets the need without breaking the system
  • You are organized enough to manage multiple workstreams, an SAP ERP upgrade, a new pricing model rollout, and a production support queue, without losing track of what is blocking what
  • You write documentation leveraging AI and expert at assessing and approving specs. Your functional specs are clear, your process flows are accurate, and your test scripts cover the scenarios that always get missed
  • You stay current on SAP S/4, BRIM roadmap updates, S/4HANA migration considerations, and best practices because you know the landscape is always shifting
  • You leverage AI and Agentic in your daily work to drive efficiency and are passionate about actively contributing to Enterprise-grade Agentic Solutions in SAP ecosystem
  • S/4 HANA Implementation experience
  • Conceptual knowledge of BRIM modules
