<p>A financial services organization is seeking a Network Security Engineer for a fully remote opportunity.</p><p><strong>About the Opportunity:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Shift:</strong> Day shift</li><li><strong>Schedule:</strong> Monday through Friday</li><li><strong>Hours:</strong> Standard business</li><li><strong>Setting:</strong> Remote</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Administer and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including configurations, upgrades, patches, and ongoing support</li><li>Develop, maintain, and optimize firewall security policies and rules</li><li>Convert Layer 4 firewall rules to Layer 7 application-aware rules using Palo Alto User-ID and App-ID</li><li>Troubleshoot firewall, network, and connectivity issues to support security, performance, and reliability</li><li>Support network security infrastructure and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure connectivity solutions</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of hands-on experience managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls</li><li>Strong understanding of Layer 4 and Layer 7 firewall security</li><li>Hands-on experience with Palo Alto User-ID and App-ID</li><li>Experience creating and managing custom App-ID configurations</li><li>Experience managing Palo Alto infrastructure, including upgrades, patches, and configurations</li><li>Strong knowledge of networking protocols, devices, and infrastructure</li><li>Experience with firewalls, routers, VPNs, and network monitoring tools</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li><li>Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience managing Check Point firewalls in an IaaS environment</li><li>Experience deploying Palo Alto firewalls in an IaaS environment</li><li>Experience working with cloud/IaaS network security infrastructure</li><li>Experience using Python scripting to automate network administration or firewall tasks</li><li>Experience with network automation and configuration management tools<br></li></ul>
