LOCAL NON-CDL DRIVER-DALLAS,TX-$16 PER HOUR PLUS OVERTIME

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Local Non-CDL Driver in Dallas, TX, and become a vital part of our logistics operation!

-Should have some delivery or driving experience (does not have to be CDL - Amazon, etc) -- experience driving driving 10'-16' box trucks or commercial cargo (sprinter) vans.

-Monday-Friday

-shifts start at 5am

-$16 per hour plus overtime

-weekly pay

Responsibilities

  • The non-CDL route driver will deliver hot and cold meals to senior centers and home bound clients in a box truck. The start time is between 4a and 6a. and the finish time will depend on how many home deliveries the driver will have for that day. There is no set end time, so this is not a job for someone who needs to leave at a certain time each day - it will vary depending on the route. Must be a team player and help out where needed.

Driver will ring the doorbell to let clients know that we are there. We do not leave the food unattended. Trainers will show our new drivers how to go about dropping off the meals to homes if there is no answer, by leaving a tag on the door etc.

Driver must be willing to unload meals/meal boxes throughout the day, that can weigh 40-50lbs and be somewhat awkward. (For reference, Google image: 'Cambro meal boxes'.) Drivers must be able and willing to lift up to 60 lbs throughout the day - sometimes will be carrying the boxes up stairs. Must be comfortable using company-issued tablet as GPS for routes.

Skills

  • Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving practices using box trucks or vans, including manual transmission operation.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws, route planning, and adherence to DOT regulations for weight handling in the workplace.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy items safely while following safe lifting practices throughout the shift.
