Live Content Moderator – Social Media

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Live Content Moderator – Social Media, where you'll play an important role in maintaining a safe, respectful, engaging, and welcoming online community.

In this position, you will monitor live streams, user interactions, chat activity, and reported content in real time to help ensure activity on the platform follows established Community Guidelines, safety standards, and internal policies.

You will work as part of a team focused on protecting the integrity of the platform while supporting a positive experience for users and content creators around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor live broadcasts, livestream interactions, chat activity, and other user-generated content in real time.
  • Review reported content, accounts, comments, and user behavior for potential violations of Community Guidelines and platform policies.
  • Identify prohibited content and take appropriate moderation action.
  • Apply platform rules and moderation policies consistently and fairly.
  • Issue, recommend, or document moderation actions based on established internal procedures.
  • Respond to user reports and help ensure reported concerns are reviewed promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate moderation records, incident reports, case notes, and enforcement documentation.
  • Help promote positive interactions and a respectful environment between users and content creators.
  • Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and data-handling requirements when reviewing user information and moderation cases.
  • Stay current on platform policies, Community Guidelines, moderation procedures, and policy updates.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and other moderation team members regarding significant incidents or emerging trends.
  • Assist with moderation-related support issues and other Trust & Safety responsibilities as needed.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in content moderation, social media, livestreaming, Trust & Safety, customer support, community management, or a similar online environment is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of social media, livestreaming platforms, online communities, and user-generated content.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify potential policy violations quickly.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to make consistent decisions using established rules and procedures.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling content.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately document incidents and moderation actions.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple live situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a moderation and support team.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn internal moderation tools and dashboards.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and dependable computer equipment.
  • Availability for assigned shifts, including evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.
