Job Description:

Location Details: Remote with travel up to 50% in various states (will decrease to 25% in the future)

Position Schedule / Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (hours may shift based on business needs)

Position Summary: This role serves as a strategic business partner to AAA-appointed Independent Agents, providing consultative support to drive Life, Health, and Annuity sales growth. The position identifies new business opportunities, develops sales pipelines, and aligns ACG solutions with agency and client needs. By leveraging product expertise and strategic selling techniques, this role influences agency performance and strengthens long-term partnerships. Success in this position directly supports revenue growth, expands market penetration, staff development, and positions ACG as a preferred Life insurance partner.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for building trust and developing strong working relationships with Agency Principals to optimize the sales opportunities in the book of business inclusive of IA Principal Planning, Key Man, Succession & Estate Planning. Leverage all sales opportunities and prospect for new accounts through outbound/inbound phone calls, mailings, referrals, networking, website inquiries & seminars.

Work is accomplished through the following duties:

Collaboration and Partnership

  • Lead/referral generation
  • Agency Book of Business Prospecting
  • Regular IA Agency Visits and marketing event collaboration


Generating Sales
  • Continuous Prospecting: outbound/inbound phone calls, mailings, referrals, networking, website inquiries & seminars
  • Quoting Life/Annuity Business on behalf of the IA Agency
  • Case Management
  • Responsible for IA Life Sales Goal Attainment


CRM Systems Tracking
  • Model Salesforce data to provide requested information
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage IA referrals and end-to-end workflow
  • Utilize Salesforce to document all service and sales activities


Compliance
  • Will follow all ACG and AAA Life Company compliance guidelines
  • May provide minor training/important life updates to IA's
  • This role will help to ensure IA Life Insurance Business is being written according to our compliance standards

Qualifications:

Required

Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Life and Health licenses required to sell products
  • Valid driver's license


Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with a proven record of successfully soliciting and selling life insurance products to Independent Agency Clients.
  • Experience selling intangible products.


Knowledge and Skills:
  • Exceptionally strong working knowledge of Life Insurance and Annuity products and services
  • Ability to listen to and analyze customer needs and make recommendations to customers that best fit customers' needs and to promote a positive client experience.
  • Effectively communicate complex information with prospective clients in a clear manner
  • Ability to prepare proposals and conduct closing interviews to sell Life and Annuity products.
  • Assessing and reflecting customer insurance requirements consistent with company standards when writing policies
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations to determine premiums and values of Life insurance and financial products


What is the skillset needed to perform the functions of the job?
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with Independent Agents
  • Prospecting and developing new sales opportunities and meeting production requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all team members to attain business goals.
  • Strong communication skills with Agency Principals & their staff keeping management informed on sales and the disposition of any Agency generated leads
  • Understands and can articulate to customers the financial, tax, estate and legal impacts the products have on prospective insureds
  • Strong organization, planning, time management and administrative skills
  • Representing Auto Club Group Life in a professional and positive manner
  • Proficient writing skills to compose routine correspondence
  • Working independently with minimal supervision
  • Good PC skills including working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Safely operating a motor vehicle to travel to various locations to attend meetings or community events
  • Ability and willingness to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends.


Preferred
  • College level coursework
  • LUTCF, CHFC, CFP, COU, or FSCP certification
  • Professional designations through the American College of Financial Services
  • Strong knowledge of features and benefits of ACG's comprehensive product portfolio
  • Knowledge of ACG systems for policy sales, quoting, etc.


Work Environment: This position is currently able to work remotely from a home office location for day-to-day operations unless occasional travel for meetings, collaborative activities, or team building activities is specified by leadership. This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.

Compensation & Benefits Overview:

ACG complies with all applicable state and local laws regarding required benefits (including PTO, paid sick leave, etc.).

Time Off & Leave
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment. Full-time new employees will receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements. Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and will accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month.


  • Paid Holidays: Full-time employees are eligible for 10 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays and 1 volunteer day. Holidays vary by business unit schedules. Part-time employees are eligible for 8 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays. Holidays vary by business unit schedules.
