Lead, Technical Account Management – Travel, New Markets
Job Description:
- Lead a team of Technical Account Managers supporting SMB merchants
- Coach, mentor, and develop experienced TAMs
- Partner with Client Success to help merchants grow, improve time to market, and use Affirm’s expanding product suite post-launch
- Establish and track team OKRs and goals, and create proactive action plans
- Forecast TAM demand and recruit as necessary
- Evaluate new hires’ technical capabilities
- Handle team escalations
- Guide TAMs on integration solutions, troubleshooting, and optimization opportunities
- Serve as a technical expert for customers
- Advocate internally for merchants and work cross-functionally to address their highest priorities
- Support merchants throughout the lifecycle from initial product integration through expansion and scale
Requirements:
- At least five years in a B2B customer-facing technical role
- Three years as a people manager
- Strong technical background in web development technologies and REST APIs
- Computer science degree or professional engineering experience
- Ability to quickly build rapport with engineering customers
- Excellent communication skills for internal customer advocacy and external representation
- Either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience providing solutions to e-commerce or in-store retailers is a bonus
