Head of Business Studies

I C Talent is proud to be working with a well-established secondary school on the outskirts of Peterborough to recruit a dedicated and experienced Business Studies teacher for a full-time, permanent Head of Department position starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious educator ready to take the next step into leadership within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

The Role

As Head of Business Studies, you will take full responsibility for the strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of the department. You will play a key role in shaping curriculum design, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, and driving student achievement at both KS4 and KS5, including A Level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear leadership and strategic direction for the Business Studies department
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS4 and KS5, including A Level
  • Design and implement a dynamic, well-structured curriculum
  • Track and analyse student performance to ensure strong outcomes
  • Coach, support, and develop departmental colleagues
  • Contribute to wider school improvement initiatives
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and adhere to all school policies

About You

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have at least three years’ experience teaching Business Studies
  • Demonstrate experience delivering Business Studies at A Level
  • Possess strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Business education
  • Show clear leadership capability xwzovoh and ambition
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic success
