Graphic Designer – Global Scientific Publications
Job Description:
- Create and format complex scientific PowerPoint slides according to brand and style guidelines
- Create icons, graphics, data tables, figures, custom builds, infographics, and graphical abstracts for scientific presentations and publications
- Create, lay out, and format scientific posters in InDesign
- Create complex and custom scientific icons and graphics
- Design, create, and maintain templates
- Provide timely and accurate development of assets
- Meet established deadlines or notify project owners of delays or circumstances requiring extensions
- Prioritize and balance project workload to support individual and team effectiveness
- Triage email and work requests, prioritizing urgent items that may affect the team or projects
- Attend department meetings and contribute to communication, process consistency, and team insights
- Anticipate project needs, provide expertise, and offer solutions
- Partner closely with the medical writing team to ensure medical accuracy and align project objectives
- Manage project scope and timelines and remain accountable for assigned deliverables
Requirements:
- BA degree in design or communications preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of related graphic design experience
- Previous pharmaceutical or healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Working knowledge of editorial design, information graphics, data visualization, and typography
- Design thinking skills and appropriate design judgment for scientific/medical audiences
- 3+ years of experience in a creative, team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with internal stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively in written, presentation, and oral formats
- Ability to develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Ability to manage small and large projects within specified timelines
- Self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and able to respond to feedback quickly and effectively
