Fractional EdTech Founder & Growth Coach
About MyThorneAI
MyThorneAI is a growing education technology company focused on helping students in grades 6–12 develop career readiness, employment, and real-world professional skills.
We have completed school pilots, developed relationships with schools and community partners, and are receiving interest from potential customers across the United States. As Founder and CEO, I am looking for an experienced coach and strategic advisor who can help me turn this momentum into sustainable revenue and long-term growth.
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on EdTech Founder and Growth Coach to work directly with the Founder and CEO. This individual will provide honest, practical guidance related to business strategy, school sales, pricing, financial planning, leadership, and company growth.
This is not a motivational or general life-coaching position. We need someone who understands how education technology companies acquire customers, sell to schools and districts, manage growth, and build repeatable revenue systems.
Responsibilities

- Evaluate MyThorneAI’s current business model, pricing, expenses, and growth opportunities
- Help convert school pilots and interested leads into paid contracts
- Develop a repeatable sales process for schools, districts, nonprofits, and community partners
- Advise on school and district procurement and purchasing cycles
- Help establish realistic revenue goals and performance indicators
- Review the company’s 2027 growth strategy and financial projections
- Advise on when and how to expand the sales, marketing, and customer-success teams
- Help balance business-to-business school sales with direct-to-consumer opportunities
- Provide accountability and candid feedback on major business decisions
- Assist with partnership, fundraising, and investor-readiness strategies when appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience growing an EdTech, SaaS, education, or workforce-development company
- Experience selling products or services to U.S. schools or school districts
- Strong understanding of K–12 purchasing and procurement processes
- Experience with pricing, go-to-market strategy, revenue forecasting, and sales operations
- Ability to coach a founder while also providing practical recommendations
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to provide direct, honest feedback
- Ability to demonstrate measurable business results from previous work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an EdTech founder, executive, revenue leader, or senior consultant
- Existing relationships within K–12 education
- Experience helping early-stage companies transition from pilots to paid contracts
- Experience with subscription-based education platforms
- Familiarity with career readiness, workforce development, special education, or Pre-Employment Transition Services
- Experience preparing companies for partnerships, grants, investment, or national expansion
Initial Engagement
The initial engagement will last approximately 60–90 days. The selected consultant will be expected to establish specific goals and deliverables at the beginning of the engagement.
Potential deliverables may include:
- Business and revenue assessment
- Pilot-to-paid-customer conversion strategy
- Recommended pricing and packaging structure
