Experienced Operating Engineer / Heavy Equipment Operator

We are a small, family-owned excavation and construction company looking for an experienced, reliable Operating Engineer / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is already experienced operating an excavator and other construction equipment. This is not a position for someone who is just starting out or looking to learn how to operate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate excavators and other heavy equipment
  • Perform excavation, digging, grading, loading, and site preparation
  • Follow instructions and work independently on job sites
  • Properly care for and operate company equipment
  • Perform basic equipment checks and report any issues
  • Follow all jobsite safety procedures
  • Work productively and professionally with the rest of the crew

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating excavators and heavy equipment required
  • Must be able to confidently operate equipment without extensive training
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Must take care of equipment and use it properly
  • Able to stay focused and productive throughout the workday
  • Valid driver’s license

What we’re looking for

We need someone who knows how to operate, shows up ready to work, and can be trusted with expensive equipment. Experience, reliability, and responsibility are extremely important to us.

We are a small company, so we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, follows directions, and works well with a small team.

Pay: $300 per day, based on experience

Please include your years of heavy equipment experience, what equipment you have operated, and the type of construction/excavation work you have experience with.

Pay: $200.00 - $300.00 per day
