Architectural Technician Role Summary:

A design-led, boutique interior architecture studio in East London is seeking a Architectural Technician to support their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a small, talented group on high-end residential and boutique commercial interiors, bringing ideas to life through precise and beautifully detailed drawing packages.

The Studio:

This is a small, collaborative studio that works on refined, thoughtful interiors – blending architectural sensitivity with layered, tactile design. You'll be working directly with the studio’s architect and interior team, playing a vital role in turning concepts into clear, buildable information.

The Architectural Technician Role:

The Architecural Technician will be responsible for producing drawing sets across all project stages, ensuring precision and consistency throughout.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting GA plans, elevations, sections, and joinery details
  • Creating and updating drawing packages for tender and construction
  • Supporting the team with drawing coordination and consultant integration
  • Maintaining office CAD standards and templates
  • Managing drawing issue logs and file organisation
  • Occasional site visits to check dimensions and coordinate with contractors
About You:
  • 2+ years’ experience in a CAD-based technician role within architecture or interiors
  • Excellent AutoCAD or Vectorworks skills (Vectorworks preferred but not essential)
  • Strong knowledge of UK building construction and joinery detailing
  • Ability to read and interpret design intent from concept visuals or sketches
  • Great organisation and communication skills
  • Experience working on high-end residential or boutique commercial projects is a bonus
