Analytics Business at Richmond, Virginia

Analytics Business Partner

B2B SAAS data observability software.

Join the company that's building the telemetry infrastructure for the AI era. At Cribl, we partner with IT and Security teams at many of the world's biggest enterprises, including half of the Fortune 100, to bridge the gap between AI ambition and infrastructure reality. As the AI Platform for Telemetry, we give customers the choice, control, and flexibility to manage and analyze telemetry for both humans and agents, so they can build what's next.

We're one of the fastest‐growing private companies and a leading player in a massive, fast‐moving market. With a global workforce, we're remote‐first and grounded in a simple idea: software is a people business. Cribl is the place where curious, collaborative people can do their best work, grow fast, and bring their full selves to the herd.

Why You'll Love This Role At Cribl, we're transforming from a flagship-product company into a multi-product powerhouse - and every non-routine business event, whether an acquisition, a product launch, or a go-to-market shift, adds complexity our data, definitions, and reporting weren't built to handle.

As the Analytics Business Partner, you're the person who closes that gap - translating a new product or customer into our existing data, systems and reporting: how it connects to what we already have, how value is attributed, how we define and track it going forward. Reporting to the VP of Data & Analytics - part of Cribl's broader Business Operations organization alongside Strategy & Operations and Business Effectiveness - you'll operate horizontally across the business rather than embedding in a single function.

This is a high-impact role for a strategist who thrives on ambiguity and builds order from chaos. If you are eager to contribute to a company poised for generational success, we want to hear from you. As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will...

  • Diagnose and Drive the Solution. When a non-routine business event doesn't fit with how we currently track or report on the business, define the solution. Whether a system change, a new process or policy, or a different data model, serve as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for working with the necessary x-functional teams to get it delivered
  • M&A Integration. When we acquire a company, own and drive how its products and customers fit into our existing reporting and data models, ensuring we can capture the impact of the acquisition post deal close
  • New Product Launch. When we launch a new product, understand how Product defines its success metrics, and make sure our models, definitions, and reporting can track against those metrics post launch
  • Keep Execution Moving. When a change spans across the Data and Analytics team (Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Data Governance), sequence who does what first, own the handoffs between them, catch duplication or gaps before they cost the team time, and push the pace when the event demands it
  • Stand Up the Business Intelligence Council. Establish and run the forum where cross-functional leaders align on key measures, attributes, and hierarchy definitions, and on prioritization across competing data and analytics efforts - and drive it to actual resolution, rather than let it stall as a standing meeting.
  • Know The Business. Maintain a working picture of how GTM, Finance, Product, and other functions operate, knowing who to engage so a project doesn't start or drift, without the right people engaged. For example, understanding how Product Marketing is positioning a new feature, how it needs to be represented across our applications in partnership with IT, and how Finance will measure its impact, before scoping the data work for it.
  • We are a remote-first company and work happens across many time-zones - you may be required to occasionally perform duties outside your standard working hours

If You've Got It - We Want It

  • 8+ years in management consulting, in-house strategy, business operations, or business analytics, with a track record of operating in unfamiliar functions and reframing ambiguously-posed questions
  • Fluency across GTM, Finance, Product, and other functions - enough to know that 'customer' may mean something different to Sales than it does to Finance, and to reconcile the difference rather than pick a side
  • You can join multiple tables, write a CTE, and get the aggregation grain right - enough to answer your own question - though hands-on query and dashboard work won't be your primary responsibility in this role
  • Given a reporting issue, you know not to default to a "data-only" answer - you can tell whether the real problem is a system that isn't capturing the right data, a process nobody owns, or a data model that no longer matches the business
  • Ability to flex your communication style as needed - equally fluent giving execs the top-line takeaway and working through the nuances with the operational teams to drive a solution
  • First hand experience ensuring a business's data and reporting keep up following an acquisition or new product launch - designing and driving the solution so the business doesn't lose visibility into itself
  • Bonus: experience inside a post-close M&A integration, a new product introduction, or a go-to-market model change
  • Bonus: experience in late-stage B2B SaaS startups (i.e., Series E+) and / or early public B2B SaaS companies (e.g., 3-5k employees)
